ETSU appoints Dr. Joe Bidwell as College of Arts and Sciences Dean

Officials with East Tennessee State University say a new Dean for the institution’s College of Arts and Sciences has been named. Dr. Joe Bidwell was selected after serving two years as interim dean while the search was conducted.

The College of Arts and Sciences houses 18 departments at the school, including the general education program. ETSU officials say Bidwell made himself an ideal choice during his time as interim dean by successfully recruiting faculty and carrying out strategic planning.
