Bill In Virginia Establishes Family Leave Insurance
A new Bill in Virginia establishes family leave insurance as a class of insurance that can be used as an employee benefit from the employer. House Bill 1156 defines family leave insurance as an insurance policy issued to an employer related to a benefit program provided to an employee for birth of a child, foster care, care of a family member with serious health and employees with family members in the military that may be called up to active duty. The bill received bipartisan support during its path to final approval.
