Kingsport man convicted on three counts of child pornography
A Kingsport man was convicted on three counts of child pornography following a three-day trial in U.S. District Court this week. A jury convicted Gary Lynn Hammonds, 53, of knowingly possessing, receiving, and distributing child pornography involving a child under the age of 12.
A report says evidence was presented during the trial that showed Hammonds possessed more than 1,000 videos and images containing child porn on a laptop and external hard drives. His sentencing is scheduled for October 20th of this year, and he faces up to twenty years in prison for each offense.
