Bristol, Virginia man dead following Scott County crash

A Bristol, Virginia man has died following a crash in Scott County. A report from Virginia State Police says the driver, Derick C. Wood, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary reports say Wood was driving West on Route 58 in the Hiltons area when he ran off the right side of the road, struck a tree, and overturned. VSP says he was not wearing a seat belt. This crash remains under investigation.
