Tennessee GOP brass call for state blocks on COVID vaccine endorsement
GOP leaders of the Tennessee General Assembly have sent a letter to Governor Lee asking him to direct state health officials to halt the distribution, promotion, or recommendation of a COVID vaccine for children under 5.
Yesterday, I was joined by @tnhousegop Leadership in requesting that @GovBillLee direct the @TNDeptofHealth to halt any distribution, promotion or recommendation of the Covid vaccine for children under 5.

The document penned by Knoxville Rep. Jason Zachery and signed by House Speaker Cameron Sexton and others says too many gray areas in terms of testing and the unknown of short-term and long-term effects call for a pause to any endorsement.
The leaders said the call to vaccinate is also an overreach by the federal government.
