Parts Of Buchanan County Hit Hard Again With Flooding
Still recovering from devastating and deadly floods last summer, some Buchanan County, Virginia residents are once again dealing with flooding. Many roads in the county, especially near and around the Dismal River area are closed due to heavy rains overnight. Chief Deputy Eric Breeding with the Sheriff’s Department says if residents are missing a loved one due to the flooding event, a reunification center is set up at the Twin Valley Elementary/Middle School. Multiple fire departments and the Department of Emergency Management are assisting and on the scene.
