Bristol Virginia Approves Ordinance Banning Camping On Public Property
Bristol Virginia City Council members approved an ordinance Tuesday night banning camping on public sidewalks and rights of way. The ordinance defines camping as the use of any city owned street, sidewalk, alley or public rights of way for living accommodations. If the measure passes on second reading the ordinance makes it a misdemeanor for anyone violating the new law. The approval comes just after a Tennessee law making it a felony to camp on public property.
