Survey: Opposition to bond-funded Titans stadium reaches nearly 70 percent in East Tennessee
A poll commissioned by The Beacon Center of Tennessee showed a majority of state residents oppose the $500 million in bonds issued in the state budget to help construct a new domed stadium for the NFL Titans in Nashville.
More than 1,000 registered voters responded to the survey. The largest opposition to the multi-use facility came from East Tennessee residents with 69 percent disagreeing with the move endorsed by Governor Lee and other government leaders.
Around 61% of those polled somewhat or strongly oppose the state spending up to $500 million on a new NFL stadium. https://t.co/CSMBkBKn5d
