Police: Man used power saw to try and steal catalytic converter at Johnson City home
An Elizabethton man is charged with attempted theft and aggravated assault after police said he tried to steal a catalytic converter on two occasions at the same property.
Johnson City investigators said Joshua White was spotted on video surveillance at both instances at the home on Sherri Hill Road earlier this month while plugging in a handsaw to try to steal the item.
White is also accused of pointing a gun at two neighbors who tried to stop him. He was arrested this week and was issued a $40,000 bond.
