Suspect Who Fled In High Speed Chase, Crashes, May Be In Northeast Tennessee
Washington County Virginia authorities say a man wanted in connection to a domestic assault call and who led police on a high speed chase with speeds reaching more than one hundred miles per hour may be in East Tennessee. The incident began in Smyth County Virginia when suspect Craig Smith fled the scene of a domestic assault call. Washington County Sheriff’s deputies spotted Smith on Lee Highway toward Abingdon. Spikes were deployed and Smith crashed his vehicle in Abingdon, but then fled on foot and has not been seen since.
