Bristol Casino generated more than $14 million in October

The Virginia Lottery on Tuesday released its casino activity report for the month of October. The report consists only of the Bristol Casino: Future Home of Hard Rock. In the month of October, the casino generated more than $14 million in adjusted gross revenue from slots and table games.
Virginia law requires a graduated tax on this revenue to be paid to the Gaming Proceeds Fund. Last month, an 18 percent tax assessment generated around $2.5 million. Portions of those funds will go to a problem gambling treatment fund, as well as the “host locality”–a regional improvement commission.
