One person in custody following reported shooting in Bristol, Virginia
UPDATE. 6:30 p.m.
Preliminary information from the Bristol Virginia Police Department says a person shot during an incident at a home on Inez Avenue Tuesday afternoon has died from their injuries.
Bristol Broadcasting was on the scene as a person who reportedly ran from the residence following the shooting was taken into custody by a swarm of Bristol officers at the corner of Woodland Circle and Meadowcrest Drive just before 1 p.m.
An eyewitness told us they saw a person being loaded into an ambulance after the shooting on Inez. The name of the victim has not been released.

Bristol, Virginia police officers surrounded a home just before 1 p.m. Tuesday in an adjoining neighborhood following a reported shooting.
The policemen could be seen escorting a person in handcuffs away from the property off of Woodland Circle and into a cruiser.
The shooting reportedly took place in the 120 block of Inez Avenue. Eyewitnesses said a person was seen being loaded into an ambulance from the home and then transported to a hospital.
There has been no official word on the incident from Bristol police.
