Virginia Lottery releases November casino revenues
The Virginia Lottery released it’s November report on casino activity in the Commonwealth, which consists only of the Bristol Casino: Future Home of Hard Rock. The report says Hard Rock Bristol generated nearly $13 million in adjusted gross revenue from slots and table games in November.
A required tax is placed on this revenue, per Virginia law, with funds distributed to the Gaming Proceeds Fund. This fund supports problem gambling treatment, and the family and children’s trust fund. In November, the 18 percent tax generated $2.3 million for these programs.
