Castlewood couple arrested on child abuse charges

A couple from Castlewood was arrested on Thursday, 1/19, both on one count of child abuse and neglect. A report from the Russell County Sheriff’s Office says Michael Park, 43, and Rebecca Bremner, 32, of Gravel Lick Road were jailed after investigators received a call from the county’s department of social services.

Officials say the investigation remains ongoing with help from Virginia State Police, and anyone with relevant information on the pair are encouraged to contact Russell County authorities.
