Virginia Lawmakers Vote Down Proposal To Regulate Kratom
Its been praised by supporters as a safer way to offer pain relief without the high risk of addiction from drugs like Oxycodone and Fentanyl. Now Virginia lawmakers have voted down a proposal to regulate the Herbal supplement called Kratom. The sale and manufacture of Kratom is mostly unregulated and the substance is banned in six states. Major industry officials want Kratom regulated to keep it safe when it comes to concerns over unlabeled Kratom sold at gas stations and other shops. However, lawmakers appear to be leaning to the FDA to provide them with guidance on the issue.
