Drug treatment center for SW Virginia to move forward with loan secured
A $2 million loan secured by developers of a drug treatment facility is the next step in getting the facility built.
Governor Youngkin announced the financing Monday distributed by the Small Business Financing Authority’s Economic Development Fund. It will be combined with dollars being contributed from surrounding Southwest Virginia counties and the Coalfield Economic Development Authority.
The Wildwood Recovery Center will be the region’s first comprehensive, residential treatment and counseling facility with room for 96 patients. The plans for the center also include the hiring of 52 full-time workers. Kentucky-based Addiction Recovery Care will be the administrator of the facility. They have 30 other locations across Kentucky.
Current plans call for Wildwood to be opened in September in the town of Clintwood.
