Two assault cases under investigation in Washington County, Tennessee

Washington County, Tennessee investigators were on the scene of two separate assault cases in recent days.

A case based out of Telford had Johnny Slagle, 74, charged with two counts of aggravated assault after police said he threatened two people in the home with a ball peen hammer and then poured gasoline down a hallway.

The other incident took place in Johnson City on Possum Hollow Road. Brian Fowbie, 64, of Manchester, Maryland was arrested after the victim said Fowbie strangled her while visiting and staying at her home.
