Three suspects face multiple drug charges following Interstate 81 traffic stop

A Mount Carmel mother and daughter are jailed following an Interstate 81 traffic stop in Kingsport where quantities of heroin, fentanyl, meth, marijuana, and painkillers were recovered.

Sullivan County authorities said Sandra Marie Vermillion, 49, and, Morgan Haley Vermillion, 24, are facing multiple drug charges with Morgan Vermillion facing an additional count of carrying contraband.

Danny Ely, 34, of Kingsport, was charged with conspiracy to deliver drugs.
