Repairs underway to repair sinkhole at Mall of Johnson City

A driver suffered structural damage to his vehicle following a sinkhole forming in the back campus parking lot of The Mall at Johnson City.

Jordan Orren told WJHL he felt as if he was driving over a speed bump but then saw the front end damage to his vehicle and then saw the sinkhole grow in size after driving over it.

Mall general manager Ashley Grindstaff said repairs are being completed but did not give a timeframe for reopening that section of mall parking.
