‘Hard Luck Woman’: High school photo of Lee making rounds on social media
Monday morning came and went and not a word from the Lee administration about a 1977 high school yearbook photo that went viral showing the governor purportedly in drag.
The photo surfaced Monday on a political humor sub-Reddit and days after the Tennessee legislature passed a bill banning drag shows from public venues that Lee supports.
The photograph is from the Franklin High annual showing Lee in a wig and dress sporting a pearl neckless and the cutline, “Hard Luck Woman.” The photo also shows a female classmate dressed in a man’s suit escorting Lee.
