Swimming phenom claims Carson Newman’s first women’s individual national championship
A student-athlete from the Netherlands who already holds several school records has become the first women’s individual NCAA National Champion in Carson Newman University history.
Junior Manon Companger captured the title in the Women’s 100 Butterfly with a time of 52.45 seconds at the Division II Championships held at Indiana University.
She also earned a bronze medal in the meet’s 400-yard medley relay.
