Expelled Tennessee House member retains historic Memphis firm as counsel
Expelled House member Justin Pearson of Shelby County has retained legal counsel for potential court proceedings against Tennessee House members.
Pearson posted a letter on social media addressed to House Speaker Cameron Sexton expecting full House privileges returned to Pearson should he be reappointed.
It’s been the honor of my life to serve District 86 as their State House Representative. I want nothing more than to serve again & I’m thankful that Scott Crosby @burchporter is representing us alongside @brotherjones_ & @EricHolder. May we continue to build this Movement! #TN3 pic.twitter.com/vPLR0UtF2c

Burch, Porter, and Johnson are representing Pearson–the same firm that was hired by Martin Luther King in the 1960s. Expelled member Justin Jones has legal representation from a firm that includes former US Attorney Eric Holder.
