UPDATE: Woman sent to prison for life for 2020 murder

Convicted murderer Karen Holmes was sentenced to life plus three years in Washington County, Virginia Circuit Court for the 2020 murder of 79-year-old Alberta Warren.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Josh Cumbow said Holmes has shown no remorse for the cold-blooded killing of Warren inside an SUV on Widener Valley Road.

Holmes reportedly wanted to give Warren drugs in exchange for a debt then shot the woman and stole her personal items.
