Elizabethton Council Approves New Four Percent Tax On Non Resident Accommodations
Visitors who use accommodations to stay in Elizabethton will be paying a four percent tax to do so and the revenues generated will be used for tourism development. City Council unanimously approved the ordinance that places the tax on accommodations for non local individuals staying in Elizabethton. The city will begin collecting the taxes on monthly basis starting in July of this year.
