Former expelled House member wants investigation into Campbell’s violation
One of the Tennessee House members expelled by a GOP supermajority wants an investigation into what he calls the cover-up of a sexual harassment violation that lead to Johnson County’s Scotty Campbell resigning on Thursday.
Rep. Justin Pearson of Memphis contends taxpayer dollars were used to mask Campbell’s action. House Speaker Cameron Sexton told News Channel 5 that he had no knowledge of Campbell’s investigation because it is protected information.
Sexton did say the process for handling sexual harassment needs to be reviewed by the governing body.
