Motorcycle rider killed in Route 23 crash

The Virginia State Police is reporting a fatality connected to a motorcycle crash in Wise County.

The agency said Saturday’s wreck occurred when an SUV driver pulled into the path of two riders in the Indian Mountain section of the county.

One cyclist identified as Edgar Martin, Jr., 45, of Pound died from his injuries. The other rider is being treated for serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
