Kingsport City Schools Continue Work On Ten Year Plan
Kingsport City Schools is working on a ten year Capital Improvement Plan that calls for development of two, new elementary schools, consolidating others and closing one elementary school. The plan looks at the needs of the Kingsport City Schools. Specifically the systems growth capacity, building conditions and classroom adequacy are being studied and planned for in the ten year plan that establishes a new elementary school at the former Sullivan North High School, building a new elementary school in Lynn Garden, relocating Cora Cox Academy and closing Jackson Elementary School.
