Property Owners In Johnson City Could See Taxes Jump By 25 Cents
Residents in Johnson City who pay property taxes could see that fee increase by 25 cents in an effort to balance this years operating budget. City leaders say the increase would generate just over five and a half million dollars. Those funds would be used to construct a new Town Acres school as well as provide infrastructure and essential services. A resident whose home is worth 200 thousand dollars would see their taxes jump by 125 dollars a year if the measure is approved by City Council.
