Ballad Operating Millions Of Dollars In Black During First Three Quarters Of 2023

17 point six million dollars…that’s how much money Ballad Health has lost in the first three quarters of 2023. Contract labor costs, mostly for traveling nurses pay is one of the main reasons the health care provider is reporting the financial loss. Ballad was formed in 2018 and has had just one year of losing money through three quarters, that was fiscal 2021. The cost for travel nurses in 2019 was just under 33 million dollars and so far those third quarter losses total more than 118 million dollars.
