Third Party Now Conducting Air Quality Around Bristol Virginia Landfill
As part of its continuing effort to address the public’s concern, Bristol Virginia officials are conducting air sampling and monitoring at the troubled and now closed landfill. The city will utilize a third party to conduct the analysis which is part of the city’s settlement in a lawsuit filed against them by neighboring Bristol, Tennessee. Monitors will be set up near the landfill and also on the Tennessee side. The monitoring systems are looking for several different compounds including ammonia, and hydrogen sulfide.
