Two suspects involved in June 16 shooting in Weber City in custody

Two people are in custody following an investigation into a pursuit and shooting in Weber City, Virginia earlier this month.

Town police reported a vehicle pursuit that began in Sullivan County, Tennessee, crossed into Virginia on June 16. Weber City police came to assist, and shots fired at the officer’s car during the pursuit called off for public safety concerns.

The suspects were identified following a joint investigation between town, state, and city detectives. Their names were not included in the report posted on social media.
