Driver dies in Route 460 crash

One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash this week in Tazewell County, Virginia.

A report from State Police says 83-year-old Merre Lipps of Pounding Mill pulled out of a driveway onto Route 460 and failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming SUV.

Lipps was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
