Aggravated Robbery Arrest

A Limestone man has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery following an investigation into a Tuesday incident in the Bowmantown community. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 27 year old Gabriel Barnett, invited the victim to his home to work on a vehicle. That’s when Barnett reportedly held him at gunpoint and took the victim’s firearm. The victim called 911 after leaving and reported the incident. A warrant was issued for Barnett’s arrest on Tuesday and he was found and taken into custody on Wednesday. Bond was set at $50,000. Barnett was being held at the Washington County Detention Center as of Thursday afternoon.
