Two Cup and Truck Series races, one Xfinity race part of 2024 lineup at Bristol Motor Speedway
The announcement of the 2024 NASCAR schedule for the three major series included new dates and a different lineup for racing at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The Food City 500 is headed back to March with a doubleheader weekend beginning March 16 with the first of two Craftsman Truck Series events at the half-mile followed by the Sunday feature that goes back to concrete after two years in the dirt on Easter weekend.
Playoff weekend will return to Thunder Valley next year, just a week later. The only appearance of the Xfinity Series will be featured during Night Race weekend sponsored by Bass Pro Shops on Sept. 20. The truck series’ second stop at Bristol will be on Thursday, Sept. 19 with the UNOH 200. The weekend concludes with an elimination round in the Cup Series Playoffs on Sept. 21.
The report said the racing’s move back to March will feature a nostalgic weekend with sights and sounds of NASCAR’s golden era of the late 80s and early 90s. The track will host legend appearances, throwback graphics, and other activities to turn back the clock.
