Bristol Tennessee moves to clean up collapsed hotel construction
The partially constructed building on Shelby Street in Bristol Tennessee was supposed to be a Holiday Inn. Part of that structure collapsed during construction in the fall of 2020. Now after three years, the property has remained untouched and surrounded by fencing. Now, Bristol, Tennessee City officials are moving to demolishing the rest. The structure was deemed unsafe last January. Conflicting lawsuits involving insurance payouts have slowed the process of resolving the project. There are two active lawsuits involving Tenneva, LLC, the developing company, and are set to head to trial Dec. 4.
