Elizabethton woman accused of supplying Fentanyl in jail overdose cases

An Elizabethton woman is accused of supplying Fentanyl to a group of Washington County Tennessee inmates treated for an overdose.

Kristen Garland, 32, was charged with providing contraband and distribution of drugs stemming from the Nov. 23 incident at the Detention Center in Jonesborough.

Officers found eight prisoners inside a pod after they had taken the drug and called for emergency help, according to a report issued by Sheriff Keith Sexton’s office.
