USPS says Johnson City East Main office to move
The United States Postal Service has decided to relocate its main office in Johnson City on East Main Street. A statement from the USPS said, while the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the Johnson City community, the Postal Service properly considered community input and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives. The Main Street Post Office is leased to the Postal Service by the City of Johnson City and that lease will expire this year. Operations at the Main Street location will remain the same until the new main office is in operation. No information was released about a new location.
