New Year, New Virginia Laws
As 2024 approaches, a number of bills passed during the 2023 Virginia General Assembly session will become law. Governor Glenn Younkin signed more thanĀ 600 bills this year. Most of those went into effect in July 2023, but there are a number of laws set to begin next week. Laws taking effect include Virginia now allowing licensed school counselors to practice in other states, changes to notification rules for health insurance companies. The Code of Virginia will also now require health insurance companies to provide hearing aid coverage for anyone 18 years old or younger.
