UPDATE: Bowmantown shooting suspect in custody

More than 12 hours after the incident, the alleged shooter in a Bowmantown murder is in custody.

The Washington County, Tennessee, Sheriff’s Office said Gabriel Barnett, 28, is accused of the midnight shooting death of 61-year-old Jeffrey Barnett at a home in the 900 block of Bowmantown Road.

He faces a list of charges including first-degree and attempted murder, aggravated burglary and domestic assault. Barnett already had two previous felony charges stemming from incidents in that area from last year.
