DEA announces “National Drug Take Bake Day” for April 27

The DEA announced National Drug Take Back Day scheduled for April 27, 2024  from 10AM to 2PM. The Sullivan County Anti-Drug Coalition, Kingsport and Bristol Police Departments, and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office are all partnering to provide local collection sites for drop off.  Sites include The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office in Blountville, The Bristol TN Municipal Parking Lot on Anderson Street, And the Dobyns-Bennett Parking Lot in Kingsport. Select Food City Locations for drop off include stores in Kingsport and Blountville. Johnson City Police will be accepting drop off’s at the Municipal and Safety Building parking lot on E. Main St. Tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs will be accepted but Liquids, syringes and other sharps, and illegal drugs will not be accepted.  Find More information at online at scadc.org.
