Train collides with sweeper truck in Washington County, VA

Virginia State Police report that a sweeper truck was hit by a train in Washington County, Virginia Wednesday morning. Police said that a street-sweeper truck was crossing the railroad tracks near the intersection of Pairgin Road and Wallace Pike just after 8 a.m. when it was hit by a Norfolk-Southern train as it was crossing the railroad tracks. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. A crash investigation is underway.
