Sean Williams lawyer asks to be removed from case
The defense attorney for accused child rapist Sean Williams is asking to be removed as counsel. Sean Williams’s defense attorney, Joseph McAfee, filed a motion to withdraw as counsel. Williams is in jail after escaping custody last year, he’s also been at the center of an investigation involving the Johnson City Police Department. McAfee was appointed to Williams’s case back in December. It is unclear why McAfee has filed for removal. Williams’s child pornography trial has been pushed to August 27. Williams’s trial for his escape charges is set for May 14.
