No meal tax revenue means bank lien for Bloom
A city report says a downtown Bristol Virginia restaurant owes more than $195,000 in delinquent taxes.
Owner of the State Street business Bloom Em Fehr announced their closing and told a local news outlet that her small business fell behind in submitting meal tax revenues to the city.
City Treasurer Angel Britt said her office has filed a bank lien on the eatery. She also noted Fehr was given two payment plans to avoid closure but they were refused.
