Sullivan County weekend fire sends one person to hospital

One person was flown to a burn unit following a structure fire in Sullivan County Sunday afternoon. According to Fire Department officials, the structure fire took place on Emmett Road off Highway 421 with the call coming shortly after noon. Responders arrived to find a small outbuilding that was fully engulfed. Crews extinguished the fire with one person sustaining burns and then transported to the hospital via helicopter. The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined and the extent of the victim’s injuries has not been released.
