Rogersville teacher attends State Dinner at White House

Thursday, First Lady Jill Biden paid tribute to her fellow teachers, hosting the 2024 national and state teachers of the year at a special White House dinner to honor their commitment to their students and excellence in the classroom. The national and state teachers of the year usually attend a White House ceremony after they’re selected by an organization that represents elementary and secondary school educators. Missy Testerman from Rogersville, the 2024 National Teacher of The Year was in attendance for the Dinner at the White House. State Dinners are usually only given for Kings, Presidents, Prime Ministers and other heads of state.
