Blue Ridge Parkway camping fees to increase
If your planning a camping trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway this season, The National Park Service has announced that its camping and other associated fees are increasing. The park service says the rate changes include frontcountry and backcountry camping site fees along with a non-camper user fees for shower and dump station services. This is the first major rate change since 2016. Park officials say the new fees are needed for facility maintenance, future campground improvement projects, and increased costs associated with operating those campgrounds.
