Pedestrian injured Friday in Carter County

A person was injured Friday night after he was hit by a vehicle while walking in the road in Carter County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says the incident happened around 11:35 p.m. Friday near the 600 block of State Highway 91 in the Stoney Creek area. The report said a vehicle was traveling on Highway 91 in the outside lane when it hit a pedestrian who was walking in the lane. THP said the individual was injured, but the extent of injuries was not listed in the report.
