One injured, one charged after Coeburn shooting

A Friday morning shooting in the town of Coeburn left the victim with non-life threatening injuries.

Randall Richard Potter, 63, was interviewed by officers and told them he and the victim had an argument over money at a home on Dan Hill Road, according to a report from the Wise County Sheriff’s Office.

The man shot was able to drive himself to an area hospital. Potter was arrested after he was charged with malicious wounding and two weapon charges.
