U.S. Senator Time Kaine visits Abingdon

U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine visited Abingdon Friday to tour a dental center and to honor his father-in-law. Sen. Kaine and his wife dedicated a plaque at the A. Linwood Holton School in the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center. Sen. Kaine also visited the Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Center in Abingdon, where Kaine helped secure federal funds to advance the dental clinics mission to offer affordable dental care. The clinic received more than $500,000 to expand its imaging laboratory and continue to allow newly graduated dentists to complete their residencies at the clinic.
