TDOT and VDOT to suspend lane closures for Memorial Day weekend

Road Construction will not delay motorists as they travel on Tennessee and Virginia roadways this Memorial Day weekend. (TDOT) will suspend all construction-related lane closures on interstates and state routes beginning at noon on Friday, May 24 through 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28. Virginia’s roads will see work zones suspended From noon Friday until Noon on Tuesday the 28th. This will provide maximum roadway capacity for motorists expected to travel this Memorial Day weekend.
